What is your favorite part of Thanksgiving? And yes, it's OK to say the endless football games on the tube ;p

Well, I guess I should give my answer! I love playing mud flag football at Golden Gate Park (all you SFers are more than welcome to join in!) with my fam, then going home and helping cook and host the meal, listening to music that I've grown up with all my life and dancing in the kitchen. But, my favorite part is when we go around the table and say what we're thankful for....I love hearing what everyone from my 77-year-old dad to my 10-year-old niece are thankful for from the last year or so.

I enjoy visiting both sides of our family and not having to cook because my mom and MIL do all the cooking! I just make a yummy pie and I'm all set. Then eating left overs for two days is great as well. Never cared much for football, not even my hubby/ :)
Were I cooking, my favorite part would be the preparations. I enjoy cooking for Thanksgiving: roasted turkey with wild rice & sausage stuffing, mashed potatoes, macaroni & cheese, green beans, broccoli, rolls, apple pie and spice cake. As the cook, I have enough ingredients to cook and sample all through the day WHILE watching the parades and endless football (and basketball) games on television. Unfortunately, this year, I'm not cooking. LOL!
