A snack from Indonesia

 Emping are crispy snacks (similar as chips) made from Belinjo (seed of Gnetum gnemon). They are fried before eaten and may be sweetened, hot & spicy with chili added or just served original which is a little bitter.

A snack made of Belinjo (Gnetum gnemon). It has a slight bitter taste & once hooked you'll never be able to let it go! I love it!

They are unique, addictive & absolutely delicious! Best eaten alone or with dishes like Gado Gado & Pecel, all of which are Indonesian's.
