What happened to all the good cooking shows with chefs who really had the chops? It's frustrating to always find a show on kitchen shortcuts or "how it's made" type fare on the food network. I miss Mario Batali, Melting Pot, and heavens, I can't believe I'm saying this, even Emeril!

If I had to rate the channels that I watched in order, I think that the Food Network would be #1 or very close to the top.  I must say, I get a real kick out of watching people compete to make the best hamburger or the fanciest looking cake! Great I'm hungry now and I still have 20 minutes to go before I got home... I listed Rachel Ray to the right, because she was probably the reason I started to watch the Food Network.  30 Minute meals and $40/day were to of my favorite shows to watch.  …

Food Network is a brilliant concept due to one simple fact: we all eat. Maybe we don't all wanna watch "Mother, May I Sleep With Danger?" on LifeTime. Perhaps a few don't want to see pundits scream on CNN. I know I have no interest in anything ESPN has to offer.
