As much as I dislike frozen pizza, I still buy some at the store from time to time. I don't know if I try to convince myself that it will be good this time or what, but it's one of those things that you can just throw into the oven and it will be done in a few minutes. Today is one of those days where all I can do is unwrap something and wait for it to be done, I'm starving but I have no energy and a killer headache. So I took our Kashi five cheese & tomato pizza out of the freezer and threw it in the oven. When I took the pizza out of the box I was not impressed. I love thin crust, but this was barely there at all crust, and where was the sauce!? I followed the directions exactly for a crispy pizza. The kitchen timer went off and I took the pizza out of the over 8 minutes later and let it cool for 2 minutes. After it was done cooling I started cutting myself some slices, some very soft slices. This pizza was not crispy by any means. I brushed the softness aside and took a bite. All I can say is it tasted like some bland cheese with some obviously previously frozen tomato chinks, mixed in with a little bit of cardboard. I am thoroughly disappointed. I figured it wouldn't be terrible, I mean i knew it probably wasn't going to be great by any means, but even California pizza kitchen can make a halfway decent frozen pizza that doesn't taste like the box! So here I sit, still hungry, and I still have a headache.
