Is it the crust that makes pizza so special or the the toppings? Or is it a combination of the two?

It's a combination of both! If I really had to choose though, I would say that it depended on the type of pizza it was. If it's a deep-dish pizza, I care more about the toppings since there's so much more of it. If it's a thin crust, I care more about the crust.

Both contribute to the overall joy but the topping(s) are worth more.
