This soup is amazing!

I'm surprised that devora had such trouble with this soup - everyone in my family enjoys it - the best not-from-scratch onion soup I have had. The packaging looks a bit different up here in Canada than you describe - much more frozen broth. I should point out I know my French food - lived in Montreal for 20 years, and the best onion soup I've had was at a neighbourhood bistro (they put port wine in theirs)... and this one is great.

No One Ever Said That Vacuum Sealed Frozen Soup Was A Good Idea

Strolling through the freezer section of Trader Joe's a few months ago, I happened upon this Plats du Chef frozen French onion soup with a little green label that said "vegetarian" (in case you didn't know, French onion soup is traditionally made with beef stock). Hmmm, I dig onions, cheese and soup, and I also just came out of being a vegetarian for 11 years, so this would be tasty AND friendly on my belly.
