Snapea Crisps

A crispy, chip-like snack food made from snow peas.

SnapeaCrisps originate from high quality sun-dried peas. Using new and unique technology, we created the world's first easily graspable, snow pea-shaped crisp! We have come up with a product that is pleasing to the eye as well. In fact, although SnapeaCrisps … see full wiki

It's hard to find a salty, chip-like snack that's actually good for you. I'm pretty sure I found the next-best thing!

Snapea crisps combine the best of two worlds: snow peas and potato chips. It appears that the company that makes them created some sort of delicious rice flour/pea/salt mush and formed the mixture into little pea-pod shapes. Sounds disgusting, tastes AWESOME.

The pea flavor is not very strong - Snapea Crisps mostly just taste like crunchyness and salt. That's what potato chips taste like, right?

I did not give Snapea Crisps a 5 because they are not as healthy as they could be. Each serving has a heavy amount of fat (I assume it's good fat, given the ingredient list, but still...) and 5 grams of protein (yay!) but only 1 gram of fiber. Booo!!

When you eat these crisps they leave a weird pea-colored dust on your fingers (like cheetos, but not as disgusting). They're sort of oily too, but I actually like that as far as flavor goes.

Still, if you want a snack that isn't going to clog your arteries but is still perfectly crunchy, salty, and delicious...try them. I've seen them around but the easiest place to find them is probably Trader Joes.

I had some earlier today. Maybe not the healthiest...but tasty! I get mine at Trader Joe's as well.

Mmmmm, these have always looked tasty, but I never really thought of them as healthy.  Their snap pea shape sure is cute, though!  If you're looking for a healthy-ish, crunchy snack, you should check out Trader Joe's veggie and flaxseed tortilla chips.  So good with dip! :)
