I saw this at my local TJ's the other day and had to give it a try. It tasted even better than I expected... like buttery roasted sunflower seeds, yum. I ate some of it on toast with some mango jam and it was delightful. Yes, I just used the word "delightful"... something I haven't done in many centuries. The only things that you should keep in mind is that it does separate (just like organic natural peanut butter does) ...and you have to keep it refrigerated once you open it. If you're big a fan of peanut butter, almond butter, or sunflower seeds... I recommend giving this a try. I will definitely be buying more of this stuff once I finish up this first jar.
By the way, the ingredients list for this Sunflower Butter are: Sunflower Seeds, Evaporated Cane Juice, and Salt. That's it! ...Gotta love TJ's for that! :)
Pros: -Tastes really good. -Reasonably Priced... about the same as natural peanut butter. -I'm pretty sure this stuff is nutritionally good for you... otherwise I'm doomed, doomed!!! (dramatic pause)
Cons: -Oil and Butter separates in jar.... so it requires re-mixing. What can I say? I'm lazy! :) -Requires refrigeration after opening. So make sure you have a fridge before you buy it.

I have a jar of the sunflower butter and I love it except that I noticed some black streaks in it. Is this the way it should be? It is not something I've ever seen in peanut butter so I am a little concerned. Did I get a bad jar?
This is also a great substitute for peanut butter. If your child loves peanut butter and you worry they might have a slight allergy to it, try sunflower butter. It has a very similar flavor that's hard for the kids to tell the difference. BTW, if you want to get rid of the oil, just soak it up with a paper towel or pour some of it out. Sunflowers are wonderful for you, so enjoy!
Devora, the Mango Jam was from Smuckers... but perhaps TJ's has their own. I'll have to check next time I'm there.
MelissaAq, I'm with you on the salt. I can't stand un-salted PB either. The ingredients for this stuff are: sunflower seeds, evaporated cane juice, and salt. That's it! :) I'm adding the info to the review too. Thanks for the feedback!
Whoooa, I've never seen this before! And I've never had mango jam before! Is the latter a TJ's product, too? I've had their almond butter before and it's pretty darn good. I learned in science class that peanut butter that has oil that separates is better for your health than ones that don't. I forget the reason why though.
I just recently (in the past 2 years) started to like PB (I know...I know..i was a weird kid I guess) and now i'm sort of addicted to i NEED to buy ASAP. Does it have more protein than PB? Do they have salt/salt free versions? Personally I can't EVER buy the salt-free PB because its so gross. I wonder if its the same for Sunflower Seed Better...

By the way, I use the word "delightful", too :P
