When I was growing up in the 1960's that was the slogan for a yummy snack known as Lucky Cakes. This marvelous confection was made by the Tip Top Baking Co. and widely distributed here in the Northeast. Well Tip Top and Lucky Cakes are long gone but the slogan aptly describes a treat known around these parts as Whoopie Pies. Today they made the world's largest whoopie pie (1000 lb) at the South Portland Mall in Maine. Meanwhile, there is a bill in the Maine legislature that would make whoopie pies the "official treat of Maine".
