Pros: Exactly what you should expect from this series

Cons: ...

The Bottom Line: A cozy wrap-up to this season. Not dramatic, but that's okay.

Plot Details: This opinion reveals minor details about the movie''s plot.

Well folks, we’ve run out of episodes to watch, so now we have to wait until season 3 is made. Yes, I know you’re sad, so am I, but that’s the way the cookie crumbles. If you’ve never seen Ah! My Goddess before, it’s a real treat. A bright, colorful, feel good anime with a few innuendos thrown in for good measure. I recommend you check out the first several reviews in order to get an idea for voice actors, music, and the general gist of the story, especially since this is far into the series.

Episode 21: Ah! Is It All Right, Even If I'm A Demon? It seems Marller has had a hand in the reissuing of Belldandy’s Goddess License. Now, whenever Belldandy tries to perform nice, helpful magic, bad things happen. Bad luck befalls Keiichi and distresses Belldandy. Can Skuld and Urd fix the license mess?

Episode 22: Ah! A Goddess's Confession of Love! Hild has done something to Keiichi so he loves her and has no feelings for Belldandy. But she hasn’t used a potion, magic, or demon possession, so how has she done it? Keiichi would never give up his love for Belldandy, so what can she do to get him back?

Episode 23: Ah! The Promise That Time Exceeds! The Motor Club goes for a trip and Keiichi finds a house that belongs to a friend of his grandfather’s for them to go to. But once there they realize there is something else in the house. Is the place haunted?

Episode 24: Ah! Love Is A Song That Shakes the Heart! Peorth is back and she is determined to get Keiichi to say “I love you” to Belldandy. She isn’t the only one. And if Keiichi doesn’t say it soon, things are going to get messy.

Episode 21 is rather cute; I like seeing Belldandy and Keiichi in actual distress, even if it’s really not too serious. Episodes 22 and 23 are mild and the kind you can just sit back and watch without too much involvement (you know, not yelling at Keiichi to get his act together or muttering about how annoying Skuld is). The final episodes don’t lead up to anything major; not like the first season did. There is no fantastic battle to be fought, no imminent danger to avoid, no dark evil to thwart. Rather, it’s just the challenge of getting Keiichi to say those three little words girls enjoy hearing from their special someone. It’s a good close to the season and it’s no big deal that it’s like any other episode. This is a series that can easily get away with doing something like that. Once it’s all over, you can kick back and wait patiently for the next season. Kind of like when you have a tasty dessert and you’re comfortably full. Ah.

We have the same quality music and crystal clear animation we’ve had the rest of the series, from start to finish. Here’s to hoping that’s exactly what we’ll get in the next season. The voice actors finish up the last few episodes with skill, and it’ll be great to have everyone (Japanese and English alike – though I prefer Japanese) back for the next round. Can’t wait to hear what the next opening song is!

Well kids, it’s been fun! Ja ne!
