One of the greatest romantic comedies of all time, and one of Woody Allen’s best movies. Neurotic stand-up comic Alvy Singer (Woody Allen) becomes involved with the ditzy but beautiful Annie (Diane Keaton) and the film chronicles their turbulent and ultimately doomed relationship. Near the end of the movie, when Alvy admits the relationship is doomed he says, “A relationship, I think, is like a shark. You know? It has to constantly move forward or it dies. And I think what we got on our hands is a dead shark.”
