   How is it that a slapstick Will Ferrell comedy about figure skating is more relevant in 2010 than it was in 2007 when it was released?  The screenwriter must have been psychic! I completely wrote this movie off when it first came out as another silly (even stupid) Ferrell flick since I was never really a fan of him.  This movie also tries to capitalize on the cult popularity of Jon Heder after the success of the loser comedy Napoleon Dynamite.  Ferrell portrays a macho …

Ridiculously bad Will Ferrell project that is like a very long and bad Saturday Night Live skit! Very disappointing especially after Ferrell's Ron Burgandy, Ricky Bobby and Stranger Than Fiction performances. The movie is totally devoid of laughs and moronic, almost from the opening scene.

Will Ferrell and Jon Heder combine forces to pull off a very funny comedy about ice skating in "Blades of Glory." Sure, they essentially play themselves, but they are an excellent duo on the screen. Even doing a comedy, a movie about figure skating would have to have the perfect choreography and glossy scenes. `Blades of Glory' does just that even as a fun and frolicking movie that both pokes fun and pays homage to a graceful sport. If not you wouldn't have the ample cameos from Scott Hamilton, Peggy Fleming, Brian Botano, Nancy Kerrigan, et al. who authenticate this loopy glide through skating.
