A 48 minute long trailer masquerading as a movie.

Taking place during 1966 in Japan, before the United States launches its attack on Vietnam. The government has other concerns dealing with vampire like, shape shifting creatures called Chiropterans. The creatures are blending in with regular people and are feeding on them. Production I.G., for whatever reason, has created an interesting formula for "feature films": offer the same production and story quality of a big budget animation, but truncate the runtime to about half. Not sure how many other of their films fit this template, but so far I've watched "Blood" and "Kai Doh Maru" in succession of each other and they are almost exactly the same duration. It Gets Better With Age

Blood The Last Vampire has a very simple back-story and that's a young girl named Saya who is a vampire slaying demons to help save humanity. Saya works with a secret organization to help stop the demon vampires from eating us humans, already it sounds like Blade and Hellsing but this girl has a much different style. So-So Flick

First of all, let me say that I'm not a big anime fan. I've watched a few of these films, but I just can't get into this stuff. "Blood" is okay, but it's not that great. There isn't much to work with here other than a few demonic vampires and some explosions. The characters are underdeveloped, the story is weak, and the entire film moves at a snails pace(which is bad since this flick's only about forty-five minutes long).
