From the trailer of the film it looks like the whole Collins clan know that Barnabas is a vampire. In the original series, the fear of Barnabas' secret getting out made for a lot of intrigue. How do you feel about the lack of him having this secret?

I trust Tim Burton and Johnny Depp enough to believe that they will find other forms of intrigue or suspense to make up for anything lost by people knowing that Barnabas is a vampire. Whatever they come up with will be interesting enough in its own way to compare favorably with the original series despite whatever differences they devise.

Yes from the trailer it looks like a totally different Barnabas. It looks like Depp is trying to do to DS what JJ Abrams did with Star Trek.
