Season 11 picks right up where Season 10 left off, Drs. Pratt and Chen, along with a passenger, Elgin, are in the midst of a road rage incident ...
Season 11 episodes include: One for the Road As their car barrels down the road, Pratt loses what little control he had and is driving like a fool. When Elgin 'flips the bird' to the driver of the other car, the driver opens fire and Dr. Chen gets shot. Pratt's car goes over the bridge, falling into the river, with all three trapped inside. Chen is trapped in her seat belt, Elgin has no feeling in his lower body. Things look gloomy for the trio.
Back in the ER, Morris is complaining as always and Luka is no where to be found since he headed out to find Sam and Alex. Then a call comes in that they are to expect a multi-victim case, not realizing it is their own doctors on the gurneys.
Shane West joins the cast as Dr. Ray Barnett along with a germaphobe, Howard.
Damaged Abby has officially started her rotation as a physician while Carter seems to be spiralling out of control since the death of his infant son.
Try Carter It's 4th of July and the ER is understaffed and flooded with patients. When a HIV+ biker is declared brain dead, his girlfriend tries to get his organs donated to a friend who is also HIV+.
Fear When two small children are brought in after a fall from a third story window, it is believed the abusive father is at fault. Dr. Corday is displined for the HIV+ transplant that Carter orchestrated.
Dr. Lewis is made the new Chief of Emergency Medicine and Howard quits his internship.

Carter est Amoureux When Carter finds out Kem's mother has been hospitalized in Paris, he drops everything and rushes to her side. He and Kem have a falling out but he ends up making a life changing decision.
The Show Must Go On Guest Starring Danny Glover as Charlie Pratt
Carter starts his last shift at County General and as fate would have it, he treats a patient again that he saw on his first shift many years ago. Afterwards the gang heads over to Ike's, a local hangout, for Carter's going away party.
Meanwhile Drs. Barnett and Morris, who are not attending the party, go to a party of their own. Barnett was invited, Morris invited himself. During the festivities a balcony gives way and the crowd is plunged several stories to the street.
Back at Ike's Carter is in the restroom, relieving himself and practicing his going away speech, and returns to the party only to discover everyone has left except for a janitor who is there for the free food and drinks. They have all returned to the ER to deal with the party-goers tumble. Carter sits and remembers all the good times while he watches movies showing all the old staff members.
Pratt gets up the courage to confront his long lost father and Sam's son takes off into the night, searching for his own father.
In conclusion: ER is big on their bang up finales every season and this one was no exception. One can only hope they continue the stories in Season 12, which is due anytime. They continue to keep their stories relevant to the times and interesting.
