Fiona ~ Prostitution, murder, drugs

  • Apr 21, 2003
Pros: yes, real pros were used in this film

Cons: yes, real cons were used in this film

The Bottom Line: ..............

Take the absolute worst X rated movie you have seen, add some idiot with a handheld camera, take away a script, include sex, murder, drugs and perversion - you have Fiona - not that you will be pleased with the results.

I’ll admit it, I’ve seen some porno movies. Generally they ain’t all that - camera work is bad, dialogue is bad, acting is bad, scenery is bad. Overall, they are just not quality film, but you know that and accept it. Quality film usually isn’t what you are going for anyway.

Then there are films like this one. Some flaked out space captain grabs an 8mm camera, or worse yet, a camcorder, gets a couple of babes, and shoots a movie. The sound quality echoes around the empty sets like bb’s in a boxcar and the make-up artist went down on the Titanic.

The major ‘high’ point of this movie is that they tout it is filmed using real prostitutes and at a real crack house. Now, that speaks for itself.

Fiona is set up in a semi-documentary form, starting with the darling miss being dropped off on the street at age 6 months by her Whoring, crack head mother. Yep, good old mom rolls the baby carriage into a doorway and calmly walks away.

The movie progress with Fiona coming of age, after suffering sexual abuse by her adoptive parents, moves through her adult life as she becomes a prostitute and eventually a crack head. Along the way she picks up several guys that do her wrong and several babes that do her wrong. She falls in love and out of love but her main goal all along is to find that cheating Whore of a mother of hers and shoot her right between the eyes.

Whether or not she finds momma, you’ll have to watch to find out on your own. As well, you’ll have to find out if she kicks her many habits and goes right, or continues along the alleys and street corners getting her butt kicked daily.

This movie carries no rating. Personally, I’d give it a light X rating because it does show penetration, fellatio, full frontal nudity and unfortunately several back nudity shots. Butts are generally just not attractive with these type of people - saggy, flabby, hairy and pockmarked. The DVD carries no extras and no subtitles.

It was written & directed by Amos Kollek and stars Anna Levine as Fiona. It find it hard to believe, but Fiona was nominated for the Grand Special Prize by the Deauville Film Festival. I can’t imagine why, or what the grand prize would be.

There are several senseless murders, a lot of heavy drug use, many nakkid scenes, foul language, and some really unattractive bathtub scenes between several of the women. These are hard core prostitutes, nothing pretty about them.

Can’t recommend this movie, it is simply a waste of time.
