Has Harrison Ford made a good movie in the past seven years? I think the last great movie he made was What Lies Beneath. Everything else has been bad, REAL BAD. Hollywood Homicide, Six Days Seven Nights, Random Hearts (made in 1999 but it was so poor I am counting it), K-19: The Widowmaker and now Firewall. I am not going to rant about this movie for too long. Mainly, because it isn't worth my time. I can't believe that there were so many named actors in this movie and it was so poor. Firewall featured …

Pros: The data center was cool.     Cons: Far too formulaic; too much product placement; implausible.     The Bottom Line: Firewall is clearly intended to be a bit of mindless entertainment, and in that is succeeded all too well.      Plot Details: This opinion reveals minor details about the movie''s plot. I think we all loved (or love) Harrison Ford as the swashbuckling, laser gun tooting space pilot in Star Wars, and the action adventure …

Honestly, in spite of having read a detailed description of the movie I didn't expect much. However, being a fan of Harrison Ford, I decided to give it a shot. What you have here is Harrison Ford placed in a business suit and then later have him fight someone conveniently wearing all black, and you'd swear you were watching any number of movies from the last fifteen years, more like a Indian Jones but in a gated community.    Even though this film is more like a play-it-safe …

Firewall is an entertaining flick but it has very little originality and worse of all it's very predictable. You have Jack Stanfield (Harrison Ford) as a loving husband and father of two. Stanfield is the expert that designed the computer systems for the bank he works at, maybe it was just me but it took a while for them to tell you that he worked in a bank. So about 20 minutes into the movie the Stanfields home is invaded by men with guns and his entire life is turned around but you still don't …

The story behind FIREWALL is just another variation of the 'thrillers' that made Harrison Ford popular: that is not a put down because Ford created a 'character type' that has been highly successful in generating a lot of movies light of weight in script but heavyweight in excitement.    FIREWALL updates Ford's persona (though his physical presence now strains credibility that he could have young kids involved) to that of a computer expert, the man employed by a major back whom …

Pros: Ford and Bettany     Cons: Tired Plot, lacks tension.     The Bottom Line: Ford should have picked a better return vehicle than this mess.     Plot Details: This opinion reveals minor details about the movie's plot. Following a three year absence from the big screen, Box Office Mega Star Harrison Ford returns in “Firewall” Ford Jack Stanfield, a devoted family man who works designing and maintaining networks and security systems …
