This Version is More in Step

Star Rating: I went into Footloose with very low expectations, since I knew the filmmakers had very little to work with. The original 1984 film, directed by Herbert Ross and starring Kevin Bacon, may have provided us with some classic ‘80s songs but was woefully inadequate in all other fields, including plot, character, and theme. A Quick Tip by djevoke

Thank GOD for Redbox and that I only spent $1 on this. I'm a sucker for dance movies...sometimes this is good (Step Up franchise, Flashdance, DIrty Dancing) and sometimes this is bad. This remake definitely falls under the latter. Supposedly the lead Ren (Kenny Wormald) is a professional dancer and was JT's back-up dancer and we all know Julianne Hough from her Dancing With The Stars performances.
