The love life of a woolly mammoth--handled with G-rated delicacy--drives this sequel to the first computer-animated romp in the age of prehistoric mammals. While the firstIce Agetook a delightful premise and suffocated it with a formulaic plot--in which … see full wiki

I loved the first Ice Age movie, but I have to say this one is even better. The computer animation is even better and more realistic. The story is great and has a good environmentally-conscious message. The new characters are fun additions. At the same time, it keeps the wry humor of the first film.     This DVD includes a short film starring Scrat. However, it doesn't have much in the way of special features or deleted scenes. However, I guess that's another excuse to get the …

This is one of my kids all time favorite movies. The picture on the blu-ray is brilliant and simply amazing. And the squirell is hilarious, how he is always getting hiself into trouble, falling off cliffs, getting stuck in the ice etc. The squirrel is so funny he deserves his own movie. This is sure to be a family favorite.

Pros: Great Fun!     Cons: Extreme laughter causes potty breaks     The Bottom Line: "The five-day outlook is calling for intense flooding followed by... the end of the world! And a slight chance of patchy sunshine later in the week. " ~ Fast Tony     Plot Details: This opinion reveals minor details about the movie's plot. Diego the cynical saber-tooth tiger, Manny the urbane mammoth and Sid, the most annoyingly cheerful sloth ever, return …

Not as worthy as its predecesor, 'Ice Age-The Meltdown' manages to muster enough memorable moments to keep the franshise going. The second environmentally friendly animated arctic adventure of 2006 has Manny the Mammoth (Ray Romano), Sid the Silly Sloth (John Leguizamo), and Diego, the Sabertooth Tiger (Denis Leary) back on the prehistoric trail for another adventure of fun and peril. This time they're joined by Ellie the Mammoth (Queen Latifah) and the possum pair, Crash and Eddie, as they head …

Pros: Great animation, especially considering it is not a Disney animated movie     Cons: Not quite as good as the first movie     The Bottom Line: This is a good movie for fans of the first movie, but some may only enjoy seeing it once. Definitely do not buy movie until you have seen it once.     Ice Age 2: The Meltdown is a nicely animated sequel to the movie Ice Age becoming one of the few (at least in my opinion) good animated movies …

The kids really enjoyed this. At first, "Ice Age: The Meltdown" looks like the inevitable sequel to the famous 20th Century Fox animated blockbuster, trying to cash in the success of the previous movie but that wasn't the case. This new adventure of the prehistoric mammals manages to stay on its own legs and delivers nothing but great fun becoming a worthy sequel. That alone is an achievement in its own right.     "The Meltdown" continues with the style of its predecessor both …
