America's Favorite Gay Private Investigator is Back

"America's Favorite Gay Private Investigator is Back"
Amos Lassen
With three Donald Strachey films already shown, it is time to bring our private tec back and Chad Allen as Strachey is back and as good, if not better than ever. This time Strachey has a different kind of case and it appears as if it is his most complicated yet. Donald's lover, Tim (Sebastien Spence) questions him as to why he persists in the dangerous work that he does and Donald listens. Only when Tim is informed that there will be more funding for "The Safe Zone", a haven for at-risk youth, does he begin to understand his partner. Upset, Tim heads for his automobile where he is approached by Jack who gives him three million dollars from an anonymous donor and then there are gunshots. Everyone runs but the next morning Jack is found dead in a parked car outside of the lovers' home. An investigation begins as it continues secrets are revealed and Donald enlists the help of his assistant Kenny Kwon (Nelson Wong). Eventually events get wilder and wilder until al control seems to be lost and child pornography raises its ugly head. The film looks into issues such as big business, personal demons and family betrayal and how they influence daily lives.
Strachey always manages to get his man but the way he does is varied in every film. We are so lucky to have this series because it gives us a chance to see ourselves on the side of the law working for justice and equality. I certainly hope that there are more Donald Strachey movies being planned as they are such releases from the usual.
