This movie is like the best literature in that it requires a certain amount of dedication from its viewer. The movie begins with a working man, who is going through the motions, working a soul-killing job that does not fulfill him when he learns he has a terminal illness. Slowly, his life begins to take shape, and he leaves a legacy that is revisited at the latter half of the movie. Everyone should try to watch this movie at least once; it's long, patience is low in most modern audience, but the movie is worth it for it's powerful and philisophical impact. It is a work of true art.
