Just like Kill Bill, this revenge cult classic (in my opinion) just makes you ache for the heroine to defeat her nemesis.

A Quentin Tarantino film that breaks all the boundaries. Action and a good story.

Quentin Tarrantino's Nazi Smash with different sides of the Allies coming together to stop the Nazi high command at the premiere of a new propaganda movie. Not quite all the violent antics that the trailers promise you but you'll be surprised how good it is as you watch.

This NOT a war movie.  I repeat, not a war movie.  It is a fairy tale...a twisted and violent fairy tale about revenge instead of love (one could say that love and revenge are to two things people exhibit the most passion over) , but still a fairy tale and starts just like any respectable fairy tale would with "Once upon a time...."      Let's talk about the violence first.  It's really not that bad.  Two scenes that would …

I don't appreciate movies that make comedy of serious subjects. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

Tarantino creates an entertaining alternative reality. Great performances. Another winner by Tarantino.

I'm a big fan of Tarantino. He's always been a man I've respected as a film maker and his collection of films sit comfortably in my list of favourite films of all time. This is one he's been working on for over a decade, refining the script to create his ultimate masterpiece that he was hoping would match the perfection of Pulp Fiction. This sincerely did not disappoint and the wait made it even more special when I got my chance to see it for the first time. Tarantino is sincerely a master of cinema …

When watching a movie by Quentin Tarantino there are certain things one comes to expect. This movie provides most of them.    1. Large amounts of blood and violence. This movie is very violent. If you want to see people brained with batch, scalped and slashed to a point where it attempts to desensitize you then this is the picture for you.    2. Interesting Villains: Tarantino's film got a lot of good press in Germany, mostly because it portrays Germans and …

Definately Not A Waste Of Money.
Wow! What a movie, I did not expect this movie to hold mine and my wife’s attention throughout the whole 2 ½ hour movie. Especially since it is about killing Nazis, our brother in law is Jewish so this can be a touchy subject in our family. This Movie was written and directed by Quentin Tarantino, and as usual he does an excellent job. It looked like it was going to be difficult to pass off as a comedy, but if you get the right people to fill the cast then you will not …

From the many +5 ratings from Lunchers, I'd say it's a man's thing. I still enjoyed the movie but I suspect that has a lot to do with Pitt!

This is an interesting, well-plotted, fascinating film that won't be to everyone's tastes. It centers around all sorts of goings-on during WWII with a plot that's incredibly intricate and nastily violent.    The movie features several stories that eventually lock together. You've got the Nazi "Jew Hunter",played by Christoph Waltz (in one of the best performances of the year. Before seeing this I was prepared to say the Best Supporting Actor win would go to Christian McKay for …

Not my fav Tarantino flick, but still guaranteed AWESOME! A great action movie with a lot of laughs

Misleading advertising notwithstanding, an excellent and at times tense movie of Guerilla warfare in WWII.

I mean that as praise. This is an intelligent, witty, ingenious film disguised as sadistic slaughter. Nearly everybody gets killed eventually, except the two who most deserve killing: the German officer Hans Landa, played by Christoph Waltz, and the American (well... Johnny Reb at least) commando officer Aldo Raines, played by Brad Pitt. Meanwhile, Goebels gets killed, Bormann gets killed, Goering gets killed, Emil Jannings gets killed, why, even that nasty little man with the mustache gets killed, …

INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS is a romp that takes a bit of horrendous history and makes an entertaining film about it. For those who admire the strangely off kilter Quentin Tarantino's films, this may just appeal as his best and fanciest production yet. It is a way over the top story about revenge as carefully served out by Jewish American soldiers known as Inglourious Basterds on the Nazis who during the occupation of France sought out and murdered thousands of Jews. This may sound like a grim topic for …

Tarantino's most unsophisticated film yet is an anti-Nazi adolescent fantasy with terrific dialogue and acting, but lacks story or brains!!!
