"For better or worse, we're human again"

First off, I'll let everyone here know that when i saw this movie I've never seen Invasion of the Body Snatchers(shame on me) and so cannot compare it to that movie. I've never seen a re-make of it before, nor have I read the book. I went into this movie with (mostly) an open mind expecting some virus fun, and that exactly what I got. Mediocre redo of a well-worn genre

Aliens from space land on earth and take over the human race. This is essentially the story of this movie. Unfortunately, it is also the basic story of hundreds of other movies, with recent ones being the Species franchise, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, and various X-files episodes. Mindless rehash

Short Attention Span Summary (SASS) 1. Space shuttle crashes, spreading nasty alien spores from Texas to DC. 2. Not as bad as they said, not as good as it could have been

The basic premise of this contemporary remake of the classic "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" is not bad. Spores from outer space cause a Space Shuttle crash. Those were some boring snatchers...

I remember being excited about this movie when I first saw the trailer, but after watching I think the trailer was better, at least it was short and showed all the interesting parts. This was not a terrible movie, it was watchable but it felt bland and there were really no surprises, half of it was chase scenes, I felt as if I was watching a remake of "The Fugitive" or something, and not to mention Nicole Kidman's frozen face - I think some emotion and wrinkles on her would make her look human, … more
