A sad and emotional film from Fellini.

La Strada  is one of the best films ever made in my opinion. Anthony Quinn stars as a traveling strong man who buys a young girl Gelsomina to help him out in his traveling business and to be a servant. Quinn's character Zampano is a mean uncaring brute who's a very inconsiderate man. The young girl tries to do her best to get along with her new life until a fellow traveler/performer comes along and changes the duo's lives forever.

Anthony Quinn was phenomenal in this film, his finest hour as an actor. But Giulietta Masina as Gelsomina steals the movie. You can't help but fall in love with the clownish imp. What I enjoyed about this film was the passion and drama the brute and the girl's relationship with each other and how hard and cruel life is on the road. Trying to explain this film to you is really hard. Watch this film and experience this brilliance of Fellini's film-making.
