In this dark but goofy and thoroughly fun musical, shy Seymour and bubbly Audrey don't recognize the romance blooming between them, but they do recognize the money-making potential of Seymour's weird plant, discovered after a total eclipse of the sun. Soon money pours in and Seymour becomes a minor celebrity, but behind the glamour and fame lies a secret Seymour can?t reveal: this strange and unusual plant's favorite food is blood. As the plant grows taller and taller, its demands for food grow as well, and Seymour starts to suspect that the plant might have an agenda for world domination.

I straight-up adored this adaptation of the musical "Little Shop of Horrors".     I recently saw the director's cut which has a fairly interesting back story. Another movie that I was ashamed of having not seen. But again, I am ashamed no more, because this is definitely one of the finest movie-musicals of all time, and it definitely earns it's place in nostalgia's past. This movie is an old movie but let me tell you do not let that stop you from seeing it. We recently rented this from a local movie store on VHS and I was very impressed. This is a musical movie and I loved it! I am not sure if I saw this movie when I was young but my girls loved it so much! It has a lot of signing and actors you may reconize from other shows from the 80's and 90's. If you like musicals than you may like this movie from the past. Worth renting or buying for sure …

Frank Oz's masterpiece of Roger Corman's B- Schlock Horror movie of the same name. Originally produced off broadway, it had a very successful run. So... What is Hollywood to do but make it into a blockbuster with big name stars and cameos.      Ellen Greene as the plucky Audrey, who also played the part on stage, Steve Martin as the sado-masochistic Dr. Orin Scrivello, DDS, Rick Moranis as the milquetoast Seymour, Vincent Gardenia as the crusty Mr. Mushnik & the voice of …
