Beautiful Scenery and Story!

Having been to Cartegna (where a great deal of this movie is shot), I was impressed by the cinematography that capture the beauty of the old portions of the city and the Colombian countryside in general! Sweet love story

The story opens in a South American city in the 1800s, where young telegraph operator Florentino (Javier Bardem) sees the lovely Fermina and instantly falls in love. Her father forbids it, the two are parted, and the years pass.
