A darkly humorous portrait of two unlikely people forming a bond of friendship through their own sadness and human frailty. Surprisingly good, the film examines the dual nature of human life and looks at ugliness/beauty, truth/mistrust, depression/joy, and life/death. It's a complex and often bittersweet film that features wonderful animation, a touching story, and a great voice cast.
