This poor attempt at re-creating the magic of True Lies fails miserably. Both Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie are extremely stiff in their roles as the stereotypical upper-middle class couple in appearance that are secretly government operatives. Of course their next sanctions are each other. Their attempts at murdering each other is way below the caliber of The War of the Roses and Vince Vaughn plays a poor version of Tom Arnold's character from True Lies. The special effects pale compare to any …

As far as movies go, MR. AND MRS. SMITH is essentially an action movie containing a snippet of intrigue. However, sentiment for the film will remain high because MR. AND MRS. SMITH will always be looked upon as the film that brought stars Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie together (despite having probably been involved together before working on the production). "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" is a movie that is fairly predictable and often laughably implausible. But it's also one of those movies that, while you're watching it, you're having such a good time you just don't care.    Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, as John and Jane Smith, have this great on-screen chemistry that's just irresistable. Even when they're beating the tar out of one another (and yes, they both get in some good licks), you get the feeling that they're enjoying every minute.    …

I enjoyed the chemistry and action behind this movie. The story starts out with the telling of why the Smith's marriage is failing apart. Thru the eyes of a marriage counselor. The Smiths who both are assassins for hire. Both discover their mates' true nature then the sparks fly. Vince Vaughn, whom I truly enjoyed, plays a fellow assassin and John Smith best friend.  The ending of the movie was a bit unrealistic to me and closure between them was missing something. The movie just falls …

Call it media blitz problems, but the negative feedback on this film, due primarily to the controversy of its stars, made a lot of people stay away. But now on DVD MR & MRS SMITH has a chance to prove it is a good little action film. Pitt and Jolie do have a screen chemistry that is as strong as some of the old film classics. The plot is a bit silly, but the script takes the chance of addressing some important issues about marriage, therapy, trust, fidelity, and the impact of making relationships …
