My Little Chickadee is the first and only paring of Mae West and W.C. Fields.  The fire and gasoline personalities of the two made for a hilarious comedy and parody of westerns.  Mae West stars (and also wrote the screenplay that is filled with double entendres) as Flower Belle Lee, a free thinking and "loose" woman how's tongue and behavior makes her a pariah of her home town after she is found to be a little more than friendly with a wanted masked bandit.  Flower Belle is escorted out of town by the prudish Mrs. Gideon (Margaret Hamilton) to make sure she doesn't come back until she's "respectful and married".  Along the way she bumps into the shady and drunken Cuthbert J. Twille (W.C. Fields),who through strange set of circumstances becomes "married" to Flower Belle through a phony and fraudulent marriage.  Will Cuthbert try to consummate the "marriage"?  How can Flower Belle become respectful when she still loves the mysterious masked bandit.  To find out you'll have to watch "My Little Chickadee".

A hilarious film that showcases the comedic talents of Mae West and W.C. Fields.  West's script is a filled with sharp dialog and her comic timing is so underrated.  Fields' contribution to the script is allegedly the oddball bar scene in which in tells another one of his long winded stories and serves alcohol.  I really enjoyed the parody of those cheesy westerns of the thirties.  The scene where Flower Belle takes on an entire war path of Indian Warriors with a pair of six shooters is an absolute riot.  If you love screwball comedies, Mae West or W.C. Fields then do yourself a favor and check this one out,

Highly recommended.
