Okay, I could not bring myself to watch the colorized version also on the disk, but the original B&W is a nice print, and the movie is just wonderful. It showcases William Powell at his most dapper, Carole Lombard at her most fetching, and it has a wonderful moral basis at its hear as well.

MY MAN GODFREY is one of the all-time classic screwball comedies; just as delicious on it's 100th viewing as the first. Carole Lombard, in arguably her best performance aside from "To Be or Not To Be", plays Irene Bullock, a dizzy society heiress who rescues a "forgotten man" from the city dump--Godfrey (played by William Powell).
