Enchanting

`Nanny McPhee' is charming to the last. The story starts with the Brown household in chaos. Mr. Brown, a widower (in an earnest bumbling performance from Collin Firth) is a breadwinner who hardly carves out any time for his children. Smart, but not wise, the children look upon every hired nanny as a nuisance; one they find endless ways to turn in her apron in an extraordinarily short amount of time. A Nanny with Warts and Twinkling Eyes Captivates a Challenging Household

I was very skeptical of seeing this movie because I thought that it would be a knock off of Mary Poppins, which I too enjoyed as a child. After watching this with my kids I felt bad for thinking so negatively about it. The kids really love it especially my daughter. The only things that the movies really have in common are that they are both set in England and deal with nannies.
