Not recommended. Unrealistic premise of the world ending and though better than the revised Day the Earth Stood Still, the ending was contrived and the earth ending wasn't satisfying. Still, the acting was not bad and the aliens were fairly well done.
Kris Johnson (Nicholas Cage) is a magician in a two-bit act in a Las Vegas Casino, who has the ability to see two minutes into the future. He uses his 'skill' to be a magician and to beat casinos at blackjack. He is pursued by the FBI, who wants his help in tracking a group that is trying to smuggle a nuclear weapon into the USA. ... remember that I warned you not to. You don't need to be clairvoyant to predict that this movie isn't going to win any Academy Awards. Nicolas Cage continues his string of sub-par performances; Julianne Moore doesn't have enough plot to wrap her acting chops around, and Jessica Biel is still waiting for the spark to ignite the non-existent chemistry between her character and the leading man.
