Night of the Comet is a brilliant spoof of Sci-Fi films and the coming appearance of Haley's Comet. This 80's classic stars Catherin Mary Stewart as Regina a teenage Movie house worker who's a total pop culture junkie. One night news around the world about a giant comet passing through the Earth's orbit's. The closest a comet has been near the planet since the death of the dinosaurs. She misses the event because she's shacked up with her boyfriend (Michael Bowen) inside the projection booth. The next day Regina wakes up when she hears a strange noise outside. She notices her boyfriend is gone and goes outside to find him. That's when she discovers some crazed mutant munching on his corpse. After a violent altercation Regina escapes and realizes the World has ended as she knows it.
A fun popcorn film filled with mutants, evil scientists and survivors who are trying to cope with the lost of their loved ones and life as they know it. Robert Beltran co-stars as Hector, Mary Woronov, Sharon Farrell and Geoffrey Lewis. The 80's was a big time for post-apocalypse films and this is one of the better ones. So if you're a big fan of this decade or if you enjoy a fun sci-fi film then look no further than Night of the Comet!
