Much funnier than I thought it would be

Okay, this isn't a high-brow movie, but it still made me laugh until I was bent over in pain. Eddie Murphy is a talented and experienced actor in playing several roles in a single movie, as evidenced in his work during The Nutty Professor and The Klumps. Norbit opens up some new avenues for Murphy, and he rises to the challenge professionally and with a humor that will take you by surprise. [2.5]--As they said on Saturday Night Live: "A star is falling. Quick, kids... make a wish"

Well admittedly the movie does deliver a few half decent laughs, and if I'm honest at times this is quite an entertaining movie. The scene at the water park with Rasputia along with the bathing suit joke was quite funny. The movie also at times gets a great dark streak at times but it's also quite funny. To say Eddie Murphy is not entertaining at all would be a complete lie. If Murphy does anything good its doing his fast talk in a fat suit. And with Rasputia he manages to pull that off almost perfectly. … more
