This 1988 excellent action film has just the opposite view of fighting in Afghanistan than the US has today, 22 years later. These were the days when the Russians were fighting in Afghanistan. John Rambo, retired Army Special Forces expert, with long curly hair and many body scars, is in Thailand fighting in a sports ring. What a difference 22 years makes!!!

John Rambo (Sylvester Stallone) is doing some soul searching in Thailand and does some stick fighting on the side to keep in the game.  Word has it that John's old mentor Col. In FIRST BLOOD, Rambo was fighting for his personal freedom against a ruthless cop. In RAMBO: FIRST BLOOD II, Rambo redeemed himself and his country by returning to Vietnam to rescue imprisoned American POW's.
