Riding around with an attitude

Pros: Drew Barrymore! Period Film.

Cons: Dippy

The Bottom Line: Just average fare on this film. A bit of a dissapointment.

I went to see this film for two reasons: Penny Marshall directed it and Drew Barrymore starred in it.

This was a bittersweet film about realizing the mistakes made in youth. It's told from a present tense looking into the past.

Drew is getting a little old to be playing teenagers anymore but she carried it off pretty well. Touching story about family life and how life doesn't go exactly as planned.

The point of the film seemed to be - don't let anything stand in the way of your dreams, typical Penny Marshall fare.

Bottom line, a lot of studpid things Drew Barrymore's character did made it very hard for the audience to feel compassion or empathy.

I saw this movie at the buck fifty theater and was glad I did. It was not worth a full feature price. I do recommend this film but only for Barrymore fans.

Movie Mood: Girl Movie
Viewing Method: Studio Screening/Premiere
Film Completeness: Looked complete to me.
Worst Part of this Film: Nothing
