Tobe Hooper's made-for-television adaptation of the best selling Stephen King novel. Originally was going to be directed by George A. Romero but Universal backed out of the project at the last minute.
'Salem's Lot is an interesting concept that failed to arise to the occasion. Don't get me wrong I'm a huge fan of the novel. When I watched the mini-series I was bored. It was so dry. The series lacked everything that made the book interesting. Gone were all the interesting sub-plots, scenes involving the different characters and the feel of the novel is sorely lacking.
