Here’s the problem, right off the bat. The Secret Lives of Words was already done and is far less interesting and filled with almost no pathos when compared against Breaking the Waves      Isabel Coixet wrote and directed Secret Lives where the majority of time is spent on an oil derrick in the North Sea. It is always a joy to find a DVD in the videostore that is completely an unknown entity, only to discover upon viewing it that it is a little masterpiece of cinematic art.
