Sexual Predator - 2001

Pros: sexy and a different ending

Cons: other than some acting, not bad

The Bottom Line: It has T & A and everyone needs that once in a while

A twisted plot evolving around a photographer, J. C. Gale (Richard Grieco), that likes his sex a little wild and kinky. While practicing a little autoerotic asphyxiation, the girl, Lisa (McKayla - yes just one name), dies, and he goes on trial for murder. Getting off with barely a slap on the wrist, 5 years probation and 200 community hours, he goes to meet his parole officer, Beth Spinella (Angie Everhart).

Seems Beth was the roommate of Lisa, so naturally this would not be the best place for Gale to be as she diligently tries to do everything she can to get him put in jail. However, his sexual allure soon turns her way, and they begin a steamy affair. This kinda ticks off her boyfriend, Joe (Kevin Fry), a fellow parole officer, who begins having her tailed.

Meanwhile bodies start dropping right and left and all fingers start pointing to Gale as the bad guy. As the affair begins to pick up more heat, Beth confesses to Joe that she thinks she is in over her head and will end the affair, continuing on with her blase relationship with Joe (she doesn't say it is blase, that was my take on it).

However, when she goes to Gale to break it off, instead she tries to convince him to treat her as he did Lisa, tying her up and that autoerotic bullcrap. He refuses, saying the trip with Lisa was a mistake and he would never do that again. She begs. Poor Gale, he is but a poor defenseless man, after all, being ruled by his own sexual fantasies.

Pretty much from this point on, things take a turn for the worse and the ending is quite bizarre. Who knew?

There is a lot of sex in this movie, which only received an R rating, even tho you do get a shot of Angie's genitalia and fur. I thought that was an X rating rule, but somehow this one slipped through. Originally released under the name of Last Cry, this 85 minute movie is really better than your typical sex romp because there is a bit of murderous suspense involved.

Several times in the movie I picked who I thought the killer was, even leaning toward the M.E. for a while because he liked to joke and say he needed the work. Besides he was just cute as a button, but he isn't even listed in the credits - poo!

Of course, the movie was probably just made to show off the assets of Angie Everhart, and she spends a good deal of time showing them off. In addition, it was produced by Grieco and Everhart, who probably wanted a vehicle where they could both romp at will, which they do. After checking carefully, I found absolutely no awards or nominations for this puppy, although in a weird sort of way I found it decent. Even SurgRN, who tends to lean toward Sound of Music type films said she liked the movie and was really surprised at the ending.

Naturally, we watched this after watching Wicked Sins, which is listed at neither Epinions nor IMDB, telling you how bad that one was!

If you like movies with a lot of sex, some story, and an unique twist to the end, then this would be the baby for you.

Starring: Richard Grieco, McKayla, Angie Everhart, and a few other unknowns. Written by Ed Silverstein, directed by Robert Angelo and Rob Spera. R rating for strong sexuality, violence and language. All Kevin Bacons #2 - posh!

Thanks,
Susi
