Silent Hill
Let me start by saying I've never played the games, but I have watched my son play them. The games are creepy to the extreme, and this movie manages to pull off the atmosphere perfectly. Whether you are a game player or just a moviegoer, this film is a treat to the horror fan who loves an extra dollop of disturbing and sinister eeriness on their gore.     Rose Da Silva (played expertly by Rahda Mitchell - Pitch Black, Man On Fire) knows there is something deeply wrong with her …

Rose (Radha Mitchell) and Christopher Da Silva (Sean Bean) have an adopted daughter named Sharon (Jodelle Ferland) who begins suffering from severe night terrors and dangerous sleepwalking episodes. The doctors tell the couple that their daughter is going insane, but Rose will not accept that diagnosis. She decides to take Sharon to the one place that she keeps mentioning in her sleep, Silent Hill. Supposedly Silent Hill was abandoned years ago because of an ever-burning mine beneath the city, but …

Silent Hill sure is a surprise and it certainly gets the job done by freaking you out in every way possible. The movie starts off really quick, it doesn't run around anything and it gets right to the point. Rose (Radha Mitchell) is frantically looking for her daughter Sharon (Jodelle Ferland) who hasn't been kidnapped but somehow sleepwalked all the way across a hectic highway to the edge of a canyon. You soon find out that this is a regular thing for Sharon and she is always saying things about …

The trailers for this film made it look really, really creepy. Unfortunately, all of those creepy moments in the trailers are the only creepy moments in this film. "Silent Hill," based on a videogame series I've never played before, tells us the story of Rose, a mother who is trying to come to terms with the sleepwalking and nightmarish fits of her daughter, Sharon. Sharon constantly speaks of Silent Hill in her fits, so Rose tracks the actual place down and takes her there against the will of her …
