Director Michael Curry takes a look at the 2002 Mayoral race in Newark, New Jersey, in this documentary. With the incumbent, Sharpe James, resorting to dirty tricks to prevent his challenger, Cory Booker, from getting voted in, the police assaulting Curry, and threats being made to anyone who votes against James, STREET FIGHT makes for compulsive and eye-opening viewing.
