What is the true face of horror?

The Nameless was the first feature film from Spanish horror film maker Jaume Balaguero. Unlike most of his contemporaries, Mr. Balaguero focuses more on the dark side of human nature along with the supernatural. He makes a thinking person's horror films. A mother named Claudia life is shattered when her daughter Angela disappears and her horribly decomposing body is found days later.  The coroner can only identify her because of her defect (one leg is shorter than the other). Angela's death leaves Claudia's marriage in tatters and she receives a nervous breakdown. The film picks up several years later and the woman is getting her life back together when she receives a call. The voice on the other end claims to be her daughter and she's in serious trouble. The call ends and the woman can't believe what she's just heard. Was it her dead daughter?

Awesome psychological horror from one of the genre's up and coming directors. He has already released three classic films. The Nameless is a nail biter that will have you on the edge of your couch. Was that the woman's dead daughter? What kind of monster took her away? Can she cope with the fact that she might still be alive somewhere? What does the title mean? To find out you'll just have to watch Jaume Balaguero's Los Sin Nombre.
