Truly  compelling and honest emotional films are  really hard to come by these days mostly due to the fact that good old fashioned  family  values  and inspirational stories take a backseat to  dark and gritty crime dramas and murder mysteries. I'm not much of a sports fan, and yet, quite a few of my favorite movies, interestingly enough, are sports movies. It was in watching Rookie that I realized why, as I listened to Jim Morris, played by Dennis Quaid, talk about his dreams.
