About this movie

Robbie Hart (Adam Sandler) is an ex-rocker who makes a living playing wedding receptions. He meets Julia Sullivan (Drew Barrymore) at a wedding where she is working as a waitress. Both are involved with other people at the time. Robbie gets stood up at the altar by his fiancée Linda and Julia’s fiancé Glen is an obnoxious two-timer. A lot of confusion and misunderstandings ensue. When Julia finally realizes she loves Robbie and comes to his place, Linda (who is attempting to return to Robbie) answers the door. Julie returns in frustration to Glen and they leave to get married in Las Vegas. Robbie rushes to the airport and manages to get the remaining first class seat on the plane. With the help of Billy Idol (played by himself) Robbie wins Julia over as he strolls into coach strumming a guitar and singing a song he’s composed for her (“Grow Old With You”).
