Looking for a nice inexpensive apartment?

Clara (Macarena Gomez) is a pregnant nurse and Mario(Adria Collado) is her husband and the two are looking for a cheap apartment.  Mario finds an ad in his mailbox and wants to check this place out,  Clara just got off of her shift and doesn't want to go apartment hunting.  Not wanting to disappoint the complex manager, he keeps the appointment and the two head off to check it out much to Clara's displeasure.  The apartment is located in a very bad part of town inside a creepy old building.  The apartment manager/portera (Nuria Gonzalez) is a middle aged woman who tells the young couple that the place is a fixer up and she would love to have them as tenants.  But everything is not as it seems and something is very peculiar about this place that is creeping out Clara.  What kind of secrets does this building have and why is portera so keen on having them stay?

An intense horror film from Jaume Balaguero.  It's an adrenaline rush of a suspense/horror film packed into a 70 minute made-for-tv movie.  A truly creepy film that will have you on the edge of your couch.  Jaume Balaguero is such an amazing director and only he can create a scary film about apartment hunting.  Macarena Gomez looks a lot like Shelly Duval in her role as the Clara who struggles to keep her head and the portera (played by Nuria Gonzalez) looks like Eileen Brennan's evil doppelganger.
The director pays homage to another great filmmaker Dario Argento is this stylized horror film.  But he does a better job at getting chills and thrills in this gritty survival horror film.  I highly recommend this film for fans of Spanish horror films.
