Seriously frank exploration of sexuality, i wanted to like but did not

Pros: Young teen sex and sexuality handled very maturely Cons: Acting is weak at best, very little to interest the eyes The Bottom Line: <i>Towelhead</i> takes on the difficult mantel of young teen sexuality and while it is written maturely, the presentation is weak to the point of embarrassing. Man's Inhumanity to Man

The movie illustrates what happens when people use hate language, when they call another person this, when they can't see the humanity in the other person. Tough Subject, Some Clumsy Handling, but Fine Acting

TOWELHEAD may have been the successful title of the novel by Alicia Erian on which this daring movie was based, but it seems that the title could have been altered to focus on the real issues writer/director Alan Ball addresses.
