After being annoyed by this film's advertisements plastered all over public transit cars, I didn't really care to see it. But, a friend brought the DVD over one day and it turned out to be an excellent movie! For a "kid's" movie, it's quite innovative and sophisticated.       First off, the visuals in this film are incredible! The rich colors and textures are quite mesmerizing. Since it takes place in both a decaying, dirty, abandoned earth and …

Robots Can Hold an Audience??
Robots can hold an audience, absolutely! Ok, so I am the biggest skeptic when it comes to certain movies and especially cartoon movies. Don't get me wrong, some of my favorite movies are in animation, but robots? I did not want to see this movie for nothing. I thought of all the Disney/Pixar films, this was going to be one of the worst because it had seemed to be one of the most hyped films.      Ok, so we start out with Wall-E on a deserted earth trekking daily out to his …

Quite possibly Pixars best film
Pixar has come of age my friends.       Pixar has never made a bad movie, in fact I'd consider almost all of them to be a masterpiece, but none of them, before now, have tried to be anything more then emotional family affairs, not that there is anything wrong with that, but they weren't necessarily deep, meaningful beyond personal issues, or revealed anything about our society. Now, I say again, there isn't anything wrong with that, but Wall-E goes beyond    …

cute flick about little robot. funny segment where the bot goes into space and encounters slug-like humans with little minds and no initiative served by a robot work-force.

pixar wins again...like they always do. With barely any, if not any, spoken dialogue in this movie but some beeps and sounds that only come from things you can purchase at best buy, it still captivates you and I'm not gonna lie def made me cry..one tear...I work out

This futuristic film follows the adventures of a lonely robot named Wall-E who follows an intriguing "female" robot EVE to a large spaceship, within which the remaining human population is residing after evacuating Earth many years earlier after it was essentially destroyed by an overabundance of man-made garbage.      The reason this movie is so intriguing is that it holds audiences fully captivated with minimal to no dialogue for most of the movie, a trait unheard …

Probably the most adorable, heart wrenching pieces of political animation ever conceived. You'll be singing Hello Dolly for weeks

Definitely not Pixar's best but charming nevertheless. Makes me fear for the future a bit.

A pretty good movie. I expected a little bit more, but over-all satisfactory. Love the music.

An interesting look into the future with an endearing robot and his solitary life on a polluted, desolate earth, and his search for love.

A near-perfect dystopian fable. Appeals to adults as much as children (as Pixar movies often do). Pure delight!

My better half bought us tickets through the SF Film Institute for a special screening at Pixar Studios in Emeryville before the general release. I meanwhile bought her a bunch of flowers, but I promise to try harder this year.   The Pixar Studios were really interesting in every way you'd expect - and it was an honor to meet many of their talented artists and storytellers who simply do a better job at filmmaking than the vast majority of studios these days. They're all very understated …

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS MOVIE!!! I'll be honest... I cried... I couldn't help it. I wanted to hold Wall-E's hand!

Pixar does it again! I've never seen a movie by Pixar that wasn't beautiful, and Wall-E is no exception. Pixar even makes a garbage-filled world beautiful. Even though the first half of this movie has no dialouge, it is still gripping and humerous. The second half is even more gripping, a life we are headed towards if we don't make a change. A great moral story that fits the day and age of now.

Wall*E on Blu-ray
Wall-E might be one of the best animated films the Disney/Pixar duo has put out. It keeps you entertained through out and even though this was a G rated film, dealt with some really serious world issues that we have been dealing with lately. Among other things, the quality of Wall-E and all animated films on Blu-ray Hi-Def is magnificent.    Even though I have seen most of them, I am not a big fan of the new CG animated films Disney and Pixar have been constantly putting out, …

It doesn't happen often for me, but I found myself thinking about this movie, days after I watched it.  My hat is off to the writers, director, and animators on this flick.  The level of creativity involved with telling such a touching story, with so very little dialogue...its inspired.

While some people may disagree, I thought "Wall-E" was one of the best Pixar movies ever. Since the main characters are 2 robots and a little cockroach, there is not much spoken dialogue and I think that's what makes this movie fantastic. Pixar does such a good job of conveying the characters' feelings through expression and without words. They make you believe that robots have feelings and fall in love too. The movie is a wonderful blend of family entertainment, sci fi, and romance.    Wal …

If Pixar has taught me anything over the years it is to never doubt them. No matter what the story is about, Pixar always produces top-notch entertainment for all ages. I expected nothing less from WALL-E and I'm thrilled to say I wasn't disappointed. In fact, Pixar may have just delivered their most beloved character to date.      Pixar's animation is always second to none and WALL-E is the most awe-inspiring effort yet. The animation is so good in fact, that many of the scenes …

Humans left the uninhabitable earth 700 years ago to live in luxury aboard a huge space ship. Left alone on the planet was Wall-E, a little robot who endlessly collects trash, compacts it, and neatly stacks the cubes in sky-high stacks. He finds many interesting things in his job, but every night as he watches the romantic songs from his video of "Hello, Dolly!" he sighs wistfully and wishes he could find someone to love.      I wasn't prepared for …

If one were to try and describe each Pixar movie with one word, I would describe Wall-E with the word "soul". No other animated movie, and few movies overall, come so close to describing the human condition as this one, and yet most of the major characters are not even human. I first saw this movie in the theaters, and now own the DVD. A careful watch of this movie reveals scene after scene that capture and expresses various facets of the human condition. For example, take Wall-E's care of his pet …
