Pros: Good feature episode, The Prince and the Pauper

Cons: I found the short cartoons kind of boring

The Bottom Line: The feature, The Prince and the Pauper, is fun to watch, but the other cartoons are not all that interesting.

Plot Details: This opinion reveals minor details about the movie''s plot.

This is a collection of 5 classic children's stories. These are all Disney classic cartoon versions of stories that are based on tales that many children have heard over the generations. Four of the cartoons run around 8 minutes each. They are "The Three This is a collection of 5 classic children's stories. These are all Disney classic cartoon versions of stories that are based on tales that many children have heard over the generations. Four of the cartoons run around 8 minutes each. They are “Three Little Pigs,” “The Tortoise and the Hare,” “The Pied Piper,” and “The Grasshopper and the Ants.” These four cartoons are all Silly Symphony episodes and thus include mostly classic music to tell the story. Not that there is not any words, but it just is that you really have to watch the show to keep up with what is going on. This makes it good for entertaining kids and keeping them distracted, although it is not the kind of cartoon kids can watch as they do something else because you lose track of what is going on with there being little dialogue. I am the kind of person who likes to do other things as I watch movies, such as clean the apartment, but this is definitely not the movie for that. Thus I have found myself often rewinding and it taking forever to actually see each short cartoon. Even then I found these short cartoons not that interesting to just stare and watch while doing nothing. I did find that the long feature “The Prince and the Pauper” was the kind of episode you could watch without looking at the television every second. In the end it was even very interesting and I liked it enough to watch it the second time through while doing nothing else.
