Zombie is a cheesy horror film that features West Indian zombies and the power of voodoo. The movie was also an unofficial sequel to the European hit DAWN OF THE DEAD. Since it was called ZOMBI in Italy, the film makers decided to call this "sequel" ZOMBI 2. Fulci is an underrated film maker. He started out as an actor then he later went own to make thrillers, action, westerns and horror films. His best films are when he decided to make H.P. Lovecraftian inspired horror.
Zombi is about a nosy news reporter and a young woman who wants to find out some answers to a few questions she has about the derelict boat that appeared in the New York City harbor. They feel that all of their answers can be found in the Caribbean. So the duo hires out a boat crew that'll help them find a mysterious island. After fighting off a shark and an under water zombie, the unlucky visitors land on the island. What they find there and why did they want to stay defy logic and sanity. Do the nosy duo find what they're looking for? To find out you'll just have to watch ZOMBIE!! Stars Tisa Farrow (Mia's kid sister), Al Cliver and a guest spot by the man himself Lucio Fulci.
