I can't stand Marilyn Manson's horrible music. All you need to know is that his music, like all "dark" mainstream musicians, is merely ripped off from much more talented (though much less-accessible) musicans and sifted through a pop filter as to not alienate the MTV crowd. He's "shocking" if you don't listen to metal or industrial music, but if you do, he's all bark and no bite.

Can I have some Swans and Front Line Assembly?

He from whom Manson pilfered most egregiously is neither in any way obscure nor unapproachable, as he's done very nearly nothing that Alice Cooper didn't decades before, with far more proficient showmanship, wit and humor.
